Over the last 3+ years I have created a lot of titantrons for the various E-Feds for myself and others. When I was looking back through them today, it brought back many memories. So I am going to start periodically posting some of these here for you to have the opprotunity to do the same. Will need to post them here, as FAN boards do not allow for it anymore.
There is not going to be an order to these, but note that some of my earlier work was pretty rough around the edges. I will add any commentary that I may have about any of the pieces, tho some I am very unfamiliar with.
We are going to start here, cause it was already brought up in the main thread on the real board.

The beginning of something great.
This was my first ever titantron I ever did by request. Former WCWWE Alumni and RAW GM, Legion, sent me a PM asking if I would be willing to put together a Titantron for him. He had a tag team that had their own titantron, but wanted to change their theme and give their tron some flair. So I did just that. One month later, his taken character became World Heavyweight Champion. I now unjustly take some credit for that happening, and the era of custom titantrons had begun with a bang!

A series buildup to major dissapointment. wcwwe February 10, 2009 Posted on the February 11 edition of raw promo 2 February 10, 2009 Posted on the February 12 edition of ECW People were actually getting pretty pumped at this point. debut February 11, 2009 Was going to post the morning of February 13... then found out WC board rules disallowed it. Debut(the real one) February 13, 2009 Posted on February 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM EST Now some background... It was February 2009... a mere 5 months after the birth of the (then) WCWWE. I decided then that this was something that was going to last a while and we might want to start thinking about trying to keep a record of some of the things going on with the fed. But instead of being smart and talking to anyone in charge, i decided to just do something on my own, then build it up to be this huge thing. I debuted the site, people were really excited... I was given the "Joey Styles" persona for dealing with the web content... then I dropped the ball and never did a single update to it. Two months later, it was completely forgotten and we were doing everything on the archive board. The site itself... wcwwe.rules.it doesn't even load today. But, it did allow me to get a foot in the door with those in charge. I was able to assist in making the archive board what it is today, and I also attribute my becoming GM due to the newfound connections.  ;D |

I never knew you were GM. For what show? (Raw, Smackdown, ECW/FightClub/NXT) And when?
Also, some of those videos are set to private, so its impossible to see them.

I was smackdown GM... Approx June 2009 to June 2010, if memory serves me correctly.

This was my first tron where I had to piece together video bits from two different wrestlers to create it.
Looking back, video quality back then was not that great. So glad HD video capabilities were only a 6 months away.
Edit: Tomorrow I will be posting the first video I used for my own character selections.
Wednesday and Thursday we will delve into my first non-WCWWE trons.

It was May 2009... after the first WCWWE draft, all three of my characters(Triple H, Randy Orton and The Miz) landed on the same show. In a time in which we only allowed one taken per show, this was unprecidented. I was not forced to give up my characters, but opted to do so cause it was becoming hard to promo for all three characters on the same day. Since I actually had a long standing fued already going with Triple H and Randy Orton... I ultimately dropped The Miz... promising a stellar pick was ensuing.
On May 15, 2009... I made my new selection known by posting this video...

By the latter half of 2009, people began to notice my efforts in video creation for the WCWWE. Then TagTeamSpecialist(better known as TTS) approached me and asked if I would be willing to create a tron for him even though it was for a fed that I was not a member of at the time (WCTNA). Without knowing anything about the charcter, TTS was able to provide me with the video and music ideas to mesh together. And my first official WCTNA Tron was born!

Outside of the realm of the TNA and WWE E-feds, there was a lesser known efed call the Off-Topic Wrestling Federation(OTWF). It dealt with anything and everything that wasn't wrestling and made it... well... wrestling.
First... was my pic for the e-fed... a man who's success was allowing to lay witness to all his failures...
A man who was head of a disfunctual tv family before disfunctional tv families became cliche.

As for the next video... this has to have been the single greatest idea never to be realized. On a fed that was dead before it could even get started, a group of misfits were already poised to take it by storm.
Divided they would have been ripped apart.. But that is not their way. They have been solid for over half a century, they were truly one, they stood together. Blood may run deep... but stitching runs deeper.
They were MEM...

Today's tron - Former WCWWE Champion... This was his first tron he used. Due to copyright restrictions continually wiping out the audio, I had to play with the sound settings and actually leave in a portion of the crowd during part of it to get around the restrictions.

Forgot to post on friday... so we are doubling up today!
Keeping with the same trend as before... here is another GM Tron. This time, it was my own.
I wanted a guy that could stand his ground. That would take no BS. That could get the job done when it needed to be done.

Once taking over as GM of Smackdown, I began to run through a gauntlet of ideas. With my youtube channel at my disposal, I thought it was about time that SD got a proper opening video, with only the current superstars appearing on it. This prompted AA to request each of the shows get something similar. And I had agreed to it, that was until a trade happened between shows, making me realize that (between trades and the yearly draft) the accuracy of these videos would be short lived... and that I would have to update them regularly. I'm not paid enough for that crap.  Next up: My first(of many) failed ideas as GM of Smackdown. |
