The Godfather created the Six Man Tag Team Championship due to the stable wars that had broken out between The Dark Dimension, The nWo, The UnStable, and The Fourth Force. A 16 team tournament took place over the last three weeks the company existed, the following teams advanced to the Quarterfinals...

Tyler Black had been feuding with The Age of the Fall since the first show. The Rock and Necro Butcher were his allies early on, but The Rock left the promotion and Necro formed a new tag team with Abdullah The Butcher.

Shannon Moore formed The Fourth Force to combat The Dark Dimension and The New World Order, who had both assaulted him. The UnStable had reached out, but Moore didn't trust them. He had asked Vicious and Delicious, and The Patriot, but they declined(IRL, Tank wouldn't let Madhack, TTS, and I do it because TTS and I wrote for the nWo and Dark Dimension, respectively). Paul London was the first to join, soon followed by Kevin Thorn and Ariel, then Kizarny, and finally Domino and Cherry.

Rico followed The nWo around, wanting to join, but they essentially ignored him.

Portia Perez was the valet/ring rat for Cade and Murdoch.

Cade and Murdoch had brought Bryan Danielson in to be their third man for the Six Man Tag Team Tournament, but after they advanced, Murdoch was signed by TNA, leaving Cade and Danielson as a tag team...

Taka Michinoku was doing an open challenge gimmick where he faced a different Junior Heavyweight opponent every week. At this point, he was undefeated, both in the challenges, and in the company as a whole.

Brooke Adams had been challenging Trish Stratus since she arrived in ILWF, even after Trish left the promotion.

The Ultimate Warrior was amassing a Goldberg-esque win streak, squashing every jobber in his path, including web and DVD exclusive bouts.

The first PPV, Spring Stampede, was set for May 15th, 2009. We'll pick up with what would've been the April 29th episode of Clash of the Champions...

New Six Man Tag Champs, new World Tag Champs, Rico joined the nWo, Taka finally has competition, Tyler Black beat Jimmy Jacobs, Brooke Adams got her damn match, and other stuff happened and it was good, man! However...

Certain people have complained about my job performance as of late and as a result... I've been fired as commissioner. Yeah, it sucks, man! I was a good commish! I did things my way and it was good, man! But from what I hear, I was never actually hired, I kinda just made myself the boss. And some people didn't like that. So now there's gonna be a new boss. But that's cool. Because in my last act as commissioner, I booked myself to ki-er, face Scotty Too Hotty. In a Hardcore Match! Yeah!

So anyway, here's the new boss...

Cornette gets right down to business, explaining how ILWF needs to become a serious company. In the first order of business, a sixteen man tournament is announced to crown the first ILWF World Heavyweight Champion. The tournament will begin next week and conclude on July 17th at Bash at the Beach. In addition, ILWF's other Champions will be forced to prove their worth and that they deserve to be Champions. In tonight's main event, The Fourth Force will take on Taka Michinoku and The Real Americans.

And New Jack's match is canceled on the grounds of decency.
