Note - If I read it correctly, the archive board will be forced to the new V5 boards on December 31, unless we opt out. A decision needs to be made on if we should try to keep it the way it is(and probably lose support for the board), or go to the new version of it. The main board(officialfan) will be going to the new V5 shortly. So switching over to the new version would make the jump from the two less awkward(ie, new version there and going to the old version here). If we do decide to move on to V5, I suggest we do it before the "force on" date. We have less chance of being "lost in the shuffle" should something go wrong. I've already updated my own board to the new version(you can also go there if you want to see what officialfan will look like in a few months). The limited amount of data was all kept, but can already see some annoyances that will have to be dealt with should we choose to make the jump. If we decide to opt-out. We will keep the board as it is for the time being. Not sure if it would be permanent tho, as they could decide to pull the plug on all old versioned boards at any time. |

I say update it when FAN does it, in a week or two.
Also: How are the new global accounts going to work between the two forums? If we sign in there, are we signed in here too?

Guess from a technical perspective... I think the "global account" is your email address. It assosiates your email with a user on that board. So your email will link to the kingvps3 on the main board and wwe1993 here. Single log on for the two different accounts. |

I'd say do it when FAN does it. Makes it more in sync with the rest of the fed.

GM and the boss/GM pushing for the move. Keeping discussion open for the time being in case someone can make a good case for leaving it alone.
Will definately wait a couple weeks after the main board goes to make sure they as a group can get all the kinks worked out. I'll most likely be a single person fixing things up here. Would be helpful if I could view their settings when they got done, but I doubt that will happen.
Everything should move over fine, but I'm always cautious... especially on things that would take a great deal of time to recreate. So I will be backing up any of the major posts that contain stat info(results, links, histories, character info, etc). Note - this will not contain anyone's personal opinion posts.

To be fair, it's one of ProBoards' largest forums. It's gonna take a while.
Here's the thing, though. If the other site isn't up and running by the end of the night, Raw will have to be postponed, since I'm involved in two promos that aren't done yet.
And I may have plans over the weekend, not sure yet. So things are kinda up in the air right now.

I can't have SD on Saturday, so would you be up for a doubleheader on Friday? I still have A TON of stuff I need to write anyway, so the extra couple hours would definitely be a benefit.
